I’m Pamela Bishop, a photographer based in Taos, New Mexico. My images have been featured in AQHA publications, commercial calendars, and both print and digital advertising. In 2021, my photograph “Lord Hear My Prayers” earned Best in Show — Professional Portraiture at the New Mexico State Fair.
Living in New Mexico allows me to explore the mountains and all their wonders. I’m fortunate to embrace the western lifestyle, having spent some of my best moments on horseback—whether in the arena or out on the trail. I’m passionate about capturing stories through the eyes of horses, cowboys, and rodeo competitors. From beautiful rodeo queens to entertaining rodeo clowns, my images celebrate these spirited moments, and I’m excited to share them with you.
Before the digital age, I owned and operated a custom photo lab in Taos, serving professional photographers and artists. Working closely with their film sharpened my eye for light, color, and composition. With every assignment, my goal is to capture the details in the perfect frame, at just the right moment, from an interesting vantage point.
I hope you enjoy seeing life through my lens—whether it’s flowers, friends, or foals.
Cheers,
PamB
